I've heard it's more profitable to employ the slayer method, however it can take more time which is time that could be utilized on other money-making methods RS Gold 2007. Also, if you don't have a problem, what would be the most efficient setup (preferable less than 20 million) for the technique you're suggesting. What is the final outcome, or is the instruction just for preference?
There's no need to invest in the best material to train, the benefits are very small or less, and you don't even need to be training via Slayer as well. The idea of training Slayer is based on high-level players who have looked back and said, "meh, wish I had trained Slayer, now I'm already 138 and I have 10 levels to go." ...". The skill has two benefits that are:
It is always a different thing to kill. You can end a mission when you aren't happy killing something. However, eventually you'll tire of it too, and you cannot block more than 5 monsters. Some monsters aren't ideal for training combat.
I'd recommend training through Slayer, anyhow You've read the facts, so your choice is yours. In terms of recommended equipment the Black Mask or a Slayer Helm is a must. Additionally, you'll only need an axe (or one of the chaotic weapons from Dungeoneerin).
The rest is up to you. In the beginning, I'd suggest Torag's plate and legs Cheap OSRS Gold, with the highest protection-value percentage in games (s'far as I'm aware) and black dragonhide for the tasks that involve magic you can begin to work towards The Recipe for Disaster quest.
