How can you hit pictures in NBA2K21?

Stick when catch and shoot or post disappear. Button from  MT 2K21 anywhere in close. Works for me but it took a little practice. Is not it harder to select your layup if you utilize button? I've always fought with these controls and utilized stick for layups. I'd LOVE to be shooting at 40% but I am lucky if I could hit 20%. I only play offline. I understand we've scrub players at this time, and I am a below average player but seriously even layups that are in the middle of the meter are not going in. I do not even dare to try a jump shot. The AI seems to be absurd levels too. I understand they wish to reward ability in 2k21 however this kind of stuff will really put off casual players and those new the 2K franchise and also new to basketball matches.

I have been enjoying since 2K13 but I've never been that great of a player. I would say I'm average, but I know I should not be missing all these 3s. My starter players've never played this awful at 2k16,17,18,19 and 20. The only other 2K I played 2K20 was 2K13 and which was on PC. However, this is a whole new level with a very different mechanic. I did ok in the demo and at the quickgames using the new shooting meter but can not hit the side of a barn .

Simply played with the demo, but the stick was much more dependable than button to get me. I have always been a button guy also. I've got a 75 3 pointer, I believe I greened one shot in like 5 nba games. . Mostly wide open shots... and this was on allstar not even thinking to proceed at the rec centre. . Genuinely shooting 2/16 within an offline triple threat game on only layups and 1 open jumpshot which airballed on marginally early. Spent $100 with this bullshit lmao. Man the shooting is additional fine right now but that I would recommend shot time like look for the que about the cartoon.

Yep I'm having trouble with it also. Started a match on My team heading 0/12 overlooking open 3s and midrange shots all over the place. I'm all for them toning shots being almost automatic but the machine looks a little bit too unforgiving so far. Hopefully will start to  Buy NBA 2K21 MT Coins get better after a couple more games of becoming used to it. The game just came out and we gotta new meter with slightly different timing.
