In case you don't read the bullet points, please do not bother posting. I don't think anybody is saying that being is poor. What is bad is that the squeal is effectively RWT for ability points. To answer your points one at a time. Jagex is almost broke... I don't think anyone would complain of buying spins if gamers could not basically buy skill lamps. . Buying ability lamps for actual world munny is type'a like cheating in the game. That is what has most folks pissed. The Squeal is extremely bad value for OSRS gold money... That is a good point. Jagex should create the squeal a better value so that fewer people will visit competing websites to do RWT.

Less than 1 percent of players will have the ability to successfully fund xp gains... Although I've never purchased a twist, my personality has risen several levels from exp gained from the squeal alone. Yelp has been replaced by the sombre troll... I didn't observe that. I will observe the next time I log in or complete a quest. If Jagex cease to make money, the game will begin to decline... Then keep the squeal. Offer prizes other than lamps which are desired. And also make them tradeable!

You're finding almost every update (other than WoFibc ones) geared toward your participant group engaging and fun... Yes! Jagex is doing plenty of stuff right! I believe part of the inspiration that fueled the squeal in the first place is that we often complain about"the grind." So Jagex answered that criticism by using a mechanism (the squeal) that lets people accelerate the levels of their choice (giving off ability lamps as a frequent prize). That is all good and well. But it's the blend of selling spins for real world cash and giving away ability lamps as a frequent decoration that's the problem. Further, what is particularly infuriating is your hypocrisy. Jagex screams bloody murder when people engage in RWT, yet they are running their very own RWT scheme.

Yes I browse OP but putting another slant on it while answering the key question: Assuming this bullet pointed list is/were true, do you think the SoF ought to be closed down or replaced? Unfortunately for Jagex theyre working against (@ least) 3 strikes at a highly competitive & frequently changing sector;

1) An old (10 decades + ) sport that despite routine updates & changes through the years, is still generally percieved as a classic not the"second thing" ( like MOH & Counterstrike - still alot of players but not regularly maintained apart from servers online which are generally player duties )

2) A large gamer bias against Runescape as"a kiddies/starter MMORPG". As in point 1 that the normal maintenance & upgrades over the years belie this understanding, giving the sport a greater depth & quality compared to Old School RuneScape Gold rumour, but many won't even seem because of what they've read/heard.
