Here's how to approach an office setup sensibly.

Map the zones by risk

Entrances, reception, server/storage rooms, and any cash-handling areas are priority zones. Open-plan work areas usually need lighter coverage. Plan by risk, not by "a camera in every corner."

Footage retention and access control

Offices often need longer footage retention for HR, compliance, or dispute resolution. Make sure your recorder and storage match that requirement, and limit who can access the footage.

Scalability for growing teams

If your office is growing or you might add floors/branches, choose a system you can expand without replacing. That foresight saves real money later.

Reliability during work hours

Downtime during business hours is a genuine risk, so a dependable system matters. A Dahua camera range scales well for offices and keeps running reliably, which is exactly what a workplace needs.

Plan by risk zones, sort out retention, and pick something scalable, and that's a solid office setup. Tell me your office size and I'll suggest a camera count by zone.
