THE WHEATSTONE BRIDGE AND  METER BRIDGE

Wheatstone bridge consists of  four resistors of resistance    as shown in the figure 1 above .

When no current flow through the Galvanometer, the point C and point D are at the same potential(same voltage).

Therefore, 

     

 

  

 

 

METER BRIDGE

Meter bridge is a practical application and arrangement of Wheatstone bridge as shown in FIG 2

 

  represented by  100cm  length of wire  AB in FIG 2

 

IF AB = 100cm
