Many people have been getting in touch recently, telling me of a sharp increase in vivid dreams. Both sleep disruption and longer sleep increase the likelihood of having more REM (rapid eye movement) sleep, which is the stage where most dreaming happens. Some believe dreams are simply a by-product of other brain functions, or random signals from your brain as it files away information from your waking life.  However, the more prevalent theory is that dreams have powerful psychological significance. People who are deprived of REM sleep become anxious and 출장안마 uneasy until they are allowed to dream again.  In short, we dream because it is good for us. Dreams act like an internal therapist; they help our brains make sense of our waking lives. With so many new things happening, our dreaming mind has a lot of new material to process — hence more vivid dreams.
