Fresh Economy
One of the key features of Path of Exile 2 Currency any new league in Path of Exile is the refreshed economy, and Dawn of the Hunt is no different. For veterans with well-established Standard League characters, this means they are likely to have an economic advantage thanks to their existing wealth and resources. In contrast, the Dawn of the Hunt league starts with a completely clean slate, allowing both new and veteran players to compete on equal footing.

If you’re just starting out or don’t have the advantage of a highly-geared endgame character, Dawn of the Hunt is where you’ll have the most balanced and fair experience.

New Class and Ascendancies
Dawn of the Hunt introduces the Huntress Class along with new ascendancies, which bring fresh gameplay options for players. These new mechanics and character progression paths are available only in the new league, meaning you’ll need to start a new character to fully experience them. While it's possible to try out these features in the Standard League, Dawn of the Hunt offers the best opportunity to dive into these new elements from the ground up.

If you're excited about trying out the Huntress or exploring these new ascension options, there’s no better time than during the Dawn of the Hunt league.

Campaign Quality of Life Changes
Patch 0.2.0 also introduces several Quality of Life (QoL) changes to the campaign, making the transition from the campaign to endgame much smoother. For example, the game’s story justifications for moving into endgame areas like cleansing corruption and map nodes are now better explained. These changes aim to create a more immersive experience and a clearer transition into the game's endgame.

While players in the Standard League can continue playing with their late-game characters, they won’t be able to experience these narrative and gameplay improvements without starting a new character. For players who want to get the full, enriched experience of the early game and these new transitions, Dawn of the Hunt is the ideal place to begin anew.

Access to New Content
While Dawn of the Hunt introduces changes that significantly affect the economy and gameplay, all content updates from Patch 0.2.0 (including endgame adjustments) will be available in both leagues. Players who are happy with their current characters or are playing Solo Self Found (SSF) can remain in Standard League without losing access to the new content.

For those who prioritize the endgame and have no interest in replaying the campaign, staying in Standard is a fine option. However, players eager to experience all the changes from the ground up, including the revamped story elements, will benefit most from a fresh start in the Dawn of the Hunt league.

Item Nerfs and Changes
Another important factor is item balance. Patch 0.2.0 introduces significant nerfs to some of the most overpowered builds in Path of Exile 2, particularly adjusting or severely weakening the effects of certain unique items. This will affect both Standard and Dawn of the Hunt leagues, though existing players who already own these items can continue using them as they are.

If you’ve spent hundreds of hours in Standard League developing a character around powerful, overpowered items, you might prefer to stay there, as those items remain unchanged for your current build. However, any new drops of these items, including in Dawn of the Hunt, will reflect the nerfed versions, so if you’re looking to experience the new balance in buy Path of Exile 2 Currency a fresh league, starting anew might be worth it.
